La Dolce Fila
Nas and Fila
Hot on the heels of his just-released "Untitled" CD, Nas debuts his collaboration with Fila. The Italian company—hardly a go-to for hip-hop's sneaker mafia—may seem an unlikely choice, but as the Queens-born rapper explained when the deal was announced, he and his best friend "Ill Will" Graham grew up in New York's Queensbridge housing projects idolizing the brand's prestige. (After being fatally shot in 1992, Graham was even buried in a black Fila tracksuit.)
Nas' tribute: high-tops in three colorways available at Foot Locker for the decidedly reasonable price of $80. Plans are, of course, underway for an eighties-inspired apparel collection to follow.

Iphone Killer?
See for yourself...check the reviews!
It seems like this summer is the "War of The Phones." And everyones got a different opinion. Just gotta read the reviews and try it out for yourself. Check it out!
The good: The Samsung Instinct offers a slick, intuitive design and a heavy load of powerful, innovative, and easy-to-use features. It particularly shines as a messaging and GPS device.
The bad: The Samsung Instinct lacks Wi-Fi and instant messaging, and its call and video quality were erratic. Also, its Internet browser could be refined, its internal memory is small, and its camera lacks editing features.
The bottom line: The Samsung Instinct stands out as one of Sprint's finest devices to date. It's just too bad its call quality could use some improvement.
Specs: Talk time: Up to 345 min; Combined with: With digital camera / digital player / FM radio; Weight: 0.3 lbs

Mercedes' Mountain Bike
Ride everywhere in stylee
Mercedes-Benz is adding to its bike collection with the new mountain bike. The new €2,790 bike is a study in sophistication and hi technology, employing such solutions as high-quality aluminium and a four-link rear suspension. So advanced is the suspension that in principle it works like AIRMATIC, the air suspension system of the S- Class. It uses an individually adjustable air chamber. Damping is controllable by an adjustable oil cycle. Mercedes-Benz is keen on keeping the comfort philosophy of their car division visible throughout its product lineup, and as such has spent serious money working on this bike. The bike itself has been developed by Mercedes-Benz Accessories GmbH, ADP Engineering GmbH and the Mercedes-BenzDesign Centre in Sindelfingen and features two versions, a Comfort Edition and a Sport Edition.
There are parts also adapted for the difference in men’s and women’s bodies, to accommodate the fact that we are built differently. Another area of importance is the braking system which uses fully hydraulic Avid Juicy Five disc brakes that measure 185cm on their rotors. Although we have no claimed braking times at all, they are said to be able to stop the bike is excellent time under most circumstances.

A.P.C & Premium Denim
Denim 101
There's a hip new style and fit of denim that's causing a big stir this season in NYC. It's the premium denim of A.P.C. If ever you see a gentlemen with just the right amount of swag and style, you might as well assume that he's already got a pair or two in his closet.
DNR magazine randomly stopped 8 men on the streets of NYC and 6 out of 8 of them were either wearing the jeans or swore that the next peice of change they got there hands on would be spent on them? If that change doesn't add up to at least $150 then they won't be getting their hands on a pair of premium A.P.C.'s. Click HERE to check out the website brand website.
I here that A.P.C.'s denim are being compared to the fit and quality of G-Star- A tough act to follow. If you're not up on the quality of G-Star, click HERE.
That's all for today's lesson of Denim 101.
Write us at feedback@rocawear.com and tell us about your favorite fit and styles of denim, also what you think about A.P.C.
The gladiator footwear trend
Sex In the city meets 3,000
There are new trends popping up everywhere. And some are so quickly gone that they aren't worth buying into. But there's been a chic explosion surfacing in the 5 five boroughs and I'm wondering if it's a worldwide epicdemic.
It's the Gladiator Sandal trend. The red pair that I've featured are by Belenciaga. It took me by suprise at first and I kinda thought I was trapped on the set of Troy- A female sequel, but I have to say I'm coming around. Seeing the different styles and ways that women are wearing the Gladiator look is becoming a good look. Were the first few women I saw just not pulling it off, or did it just take some getting used to?
The 3,000 movie meets Sexy In The City! But is this just happening in the city, or is it everywhere?
Drop us a line at feedback@rocawear.com and tell us what new footwear is trendy in your city. This should be interesting.

The 40 Year old Flannel
A NYC trend that may be here to stay
There was one type of shirt this summer that every vintage groupie (female and male alike) had to have in NYC. A simple long sleeve flannel button up. I’m not sure if this was just another random NYC fashion trend or if it gave that whole starving artist/grundge look the NYC fashion-forward are always in search for. Where it came? I don’t know, but many people in NY, for the past six months, have been walking around looking like they were dared to find a way to make their Grandad’s flannel from the 30’s look hot. And we all (most of us) have pulled it off in the illest way, usually with the sleeves rolled up. I’ve seen it rocked many different ways, with 1’s, Nike SB Editions, Chucks, even Airmax or luxury sneakers. Get the flannel in any color, get the flannel from any store. What ever you do make sure you get the flannel before it gets too hot outside to roc it. HERE'S an example.
